So I used one pound to make the Candied Cherries from David Lebovitz' The Perfect Scoop.
This is a handy way to preserve them, but I still think they're best eaten just as they are, straight from the tree!
There's nothing quite like summer fruits, is there? No2 is costing me a fortune - he just ploughs his way through boxes of berries and packs of peaches and nectarines!Still, better than Haribo!
I agree with you, snacking on a bowl of cherries is the way to go. R would say the ice cream is tops. D x
cherry heaven xxox
I love cherries, and I eat them with abandon during cherry season. I wonder if we could have a little cherry tree in our backyard?

I was just thinking about candy-ing some of them using that recipe!!
Home grown cherries seem to be extra tasty - maybe it is because we have been watching them rippen on the tree.
I'm very very jealous. cherries are one of my favourite fruit, but they're soooo expensive in this country I can never bring myself to buy them!
