paletas, parte dos

The weather is very hit-and-miss now. But when it's sunny, we dive straight into the freezer for more pops from Paletas, this time Paletas de Pay de Limón (Lime Pie Ice Pops):

These are super lime-y with 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice and 2 teaspoons lime zest. They should be rolled in crushed graham crackers (American) or Maria cookies (Mexican), but with neither available in Teddington, we're having ours nude.

Very nice, but my favorites are still the Avocado Pops, which I reckon might just be unbeatable. Will keep trying though!

Kristina, I tried that SweetPaul lime, celery and coriander soda from Pinterest. Not good. Looks like fetid pond water. Tastes like sweetened pond water.
Your paletas sound like a much better use of limes.

I'm grimacing at Ali's comment!

I might have to have an ice-cream later... as it's Friday and all that!

That looks exactly what I'd like right now. And I can't imagine that crackers would add anything!

Have you tried Bentalls? They have an American food section on the ground floor! But the lolly looks lovely on it's own.

Your nude ice pop looks so tasteful

Your flavour choices are brilliant - I don't like lollies much - not sure why, must be that mine always drip, but can imagine this would be delish as sorbet too.

Yes they look delicious but I still prefer the avocado wonders! Mind you they are a similar shade to the cardigan I've just knitted up for my daughter ;-)

We are in the midst of a heatwave here so I would love that icy treat, nude or otherwise, right now!

That looks delicious! All your treats end up looking so beautiful - if they taste even half as good as they look, they'd be amazing! Wish I could try one. :)
