collins & collins

We've been filling our new green Tubtrug with produce for G's office:

I'm beginning to think we should start our own veg box scheme with our (too) abundant crop of cauliflowers, cabbages, and courgettes.

We could even continue what seems to be a penchant for the letter 'c' by calling our scheme Collins & Collins...though I don't think it has quite the same ring as Abel & Cole!

  1. Where do I sign up?

Our tub trugs are yellow and usually full of unmentionables.

  2. Well done Collins & Collins! You've started something, we're on our third cauliflower cheese since your post featuring it. Best of luck with your future harvest! D x

  6. What, no slugs? Doesn't seem quite right to me..... I'll still be on your mailing list though.

I didn't even bother to try growing caulis this year, as I'm so bad at them, but I often make Sarah Raven's cauliflower & almond soup - if you haven't tried it, do, as it's wonderful.

  7. I thinkt that Collins and Collins sounds slightly Dickensian - you could do your own version of Bleak House with added cauliflowers.

  8. Sounds very civilized. I picture the owners (y'all, that is) sitting in leather chairs and taking sips of brandy. And saying, "I say..." a lot.
